Dr Chambers aspired to be an artist long before he became a physician. College, medical
school and 30 years of active Orthopedic Surgery practice did not prevent him from extensive travels,
collecting photos and painting. He was often engaged in preparations of 2 D and 3 d medical illustrations
. After retiring from active US practice he has served as a medical missionary to several African countries.
Kenya Tanzania and Zimbabwe.. Many safaris have opened the doors to a wide variety
of very interesting subjects; African peoples , African animals and the fascinating geologic and natural
wonders of Africa. He has continued art Studies with many nationally and internationally known artists.
Recently he has studied OLD WORLD ART in depth with Chris Di Domizio , Atlanta Georgia. For
several years he has been engaged in extensive studies at East Tennessee State University School
of Art ,Atlanta College Of Art., and Savannah college of art {Atlanta branch }. His art encompasses a
wide array of subjects includes portraits, figure drawing and painting , alla prima still life , landscapes
,and animal paintings. His medium is chosen to most carefully evoke the mood of the painting .He often
composes his paintings to have
an allogorical subtle deep meaning. Selected paintings of his has been gratefully accepted by many
of his patients in the US and in Africa. Prints for several shown....
